Christian Education at Emmanuel

Christian Education at Emmanuel takes many forms.

Starting with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for our youngest children. The place where children meet for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is called an atrium. It is a sacred space rather than a classroom. It is a quiet, focused place where children are drawn into worship, where Christ is encountered through Word and action.

The Seedlings Sunday School program at Emmanuel is for the older kids. The Seedlings Program is Biblically based and teaches children the traditions and teachings of the Episcopal Church.

Next comes the SHACK (Sharing Hope to Advance Christ's Kingdom) program for our teen age kids.

Not to forget our Adults there is a constantly changing series of Adult Education Classes given by Fr. Rob and Mother Lyn with an occasional assist from our Rector Emeritus Fr. Paul Edwards. There are also Guest teachers who are invited for specific topics.
