Churchville--Emmanuel Style

Sunrise Banner

Beginning this Sunday at 5 pm, Fr Rob and Mo. Lyn will be presenting an adult education class on being an Episcopalian Emmanuel style. In this class we will discuss what makes Emmanuel the unique place of worship it is, and what we want to pass on to coming generations about our particular style of worship and community life. In addition we will be discussing what is unique about being an Episcopalian. How does our tradition differ from other denominations? The class will last for 6 Sundays and will skip Thanksgiving weekend. This is the preparation class if you are considering being confirmed or reaffirming your baptismal vows in January when the Bishop comes for his annual visit.
All Saints Celebration
and Baptism on Sunday!

This coming Sunday, November 1, we will be remembering the Saints and saints of God. Saints--with a capital "S"--commemorate those who have been canonized by the church, and saints--with a lower case "s"--signify those who have had a Godly influence in the world (including our own lives) but never made it to the holy hall of fame.

We will also be celebrating a baptism at the 10am service on Sunday, as we welcome Trevor Oates into the family of God. Here is an early photo of Trevor at his entrance into the world.

Ron and Rob

Ron Suich and Fr. Rob had a wondrous adventure this past week on the Big Island of Hawaii. Much of their time was spent under the sea, viewing God's creation from a submerged perspective!

May your fall adventures be glorious!
Blessings,
Fr. Rob and Mo. Ly
