Food Loving Guys Raise $22,000 for FIES

George BBQ King

Last Sunday Fullerton Interfaith Emergency Service hosted a cook off to raise funds for their work in the Fullerton area. Our own George Hayward was awarded first prize for his "George's Jambalaya"! An estimated $22,000 was raised. Mary Shaw is Emmanuel's coordinator for this significant outreach ministry. A big debt of thanks goes to Mary, George, and the people from Emmanuel who help sponsor and support this great work!

FridgeBelieve it or not, this is our refrigerator in Havermale Hall. Anyone who is familiar with this fridge knows that, until recently, the sign "If it walks out of the refrigerator LET IT GO!" was very apropos. A couple of weeks ago, Sasha Marakowski spent hours cleaning the refrigerator so that people would not run screaming into the night when they opened it.

A huge thanksgiving goes out to all the people who have helped out in the office and have often gone above and beyond the call of duty--especially Sasha on Mondays, Kathy Peters on Tuesdays, Meg Suich on Wednesdays, and Shirley Rambo on Thursdays.  THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

May your Lenten journey be holy and blessed!
Blessings,
Fr. Rob and Mo. Ly
