| Dear Rob
Thanks be to God this Advent season for
all the ways in which the ongoing ministry of John the Baptist is
working in our midst to prepare the way for more of Jesus in our hearts!
With gratitude for you,
Fr. Rob and Mo. Lyn
Thanks be to God for Emmanuel Generosity!
Sunday we were blessed to have Mike Kenyon from the Free Wheelchair
Ministry speak to the 10am service and after both services display the
wheelchair that may be purchased on behalf of a needy person for only
$63.94. Thanks to the generosity of several Emmanuelites, who donated
their crafts for sale, we were able to raise over $1500! Meg Suich
and Sally Adamson worked incredibly hard to hatch this plan, host the
sales, and to handmake the items. They were supported by Mary Jane
Bonilla, Doris Knape, and Deanna Davis. Thanks to the generosity of
those who made these crafts and those of you that purchased them, at
least 23 people who had to crawl on the ground now have mobility! How
blessed we are to have such a generous congregation who care about
people in their suffering.
Thanks be to God for our Delegates!
Quite a moving Diocesan
Convention, as we spoke of interfaith issues, listened to a powerfully
uplifting and faithfilled sermon by Bishop Mary Glasspool, and
deliberated on the business of the church. Special thanks to our
delegates: Walter & Kathy Palmer, and Jeff & Patty
