 Dear   ,

Our Lenten series has been amazing, surpassing our expectations! Tonight will be our last evening, with Karen Carr sharing, and then on to Holy Week and Easter. May it be a source of healing, renewal, and empowerment for us all!

Wine and Cheese

and the Wind in the Trees

Reoccuring Summary: The focus of the program will be a deeper anointing of the Holy Spirit. Each week's gathering will begin with a wine and cheese tasting and will include a teaching by Fr. Rob and Mo. Lyn, a witness from someone in our Emmanuel community, followed by some worship and prayer.

Something extraordinary about our time last Thursday. Many of you have commented on it. This week is the final adventure in our series. Tonight we get to hear Karen Carr share her stories of the Holy Spirit and the beginning of L'Arche Wavecrest, the ONLY L'Arche community in the south western part of the United States. We have some amazing people in our parish. Come and experience the wonder!

 Pathways to Wholeness

                Quiet Day

The next set in the Pathways to Wholeness series will focus on our spiritual lives. The kickoff event will be a quiet day on Saturday from 9:30am-3pm, to encourage us to take a day out of our busy lives to ponder God's voice within. What a wonderful way to prepare for Holy Week! Dr. Deborah Spaine, psychologist, author, and experienced meditation teacher, will be leading the day. Come for all or part of the day in Edwards Hall. Please bring your own lunch.

The next four classes in this series will be held on May 3, 10, 24 and 31 at 3pm. Suzanne Kaisch, experienced meditation teacher and spiritual director, will be sharing ways for us to become attuned to God's loving presence in our daily lives.

 Holy Week at Emmanuel

                Holy Week

This coming Sunday begins our Holy Week remembrance as we journey with Jesus to the cross and beyond to the celebration of his resurrection! What an opportunity, in this the most significant week of the Christian year, to join with one another and with Jesus in this healing, redeeming, empowering journey!

Palm Sunday     April 13         8:15am and 10am

From our procession of Hosanna's to the enactment of the passion gospel, we enter the first level of the power of Holy Week

Maundy Thursday       April 17        7:30pm

On this night we remember the Lord's last supper with his disciples in which he washed their feet and instituted the sacrament of communion.

Good Friday      April 18        12-3pm and 7:30pm

This year we will be commemorating the seven last words of Jesus. During our time of worship, Fr. Rob and Mo. Lyn will offer reflections and then we will view the artwork of seven different Emmanuelites who created an artistic expression of each Biblical passage. A deeply moving way to be with Jesus at the foot of the cross.

Easter Vigil      April 19         7:30pm

In this candlelight service we remember the promises of God, proclaim the resurrection of Jesus, witness the baptism of Kimberly, Katelyn, Kaylany and Katie, renew our own baptism and celebrate communion. A beautiful and moving service!

Easter             April 20          8:15 and 10am

We join the saints and angels in this glorious celebration of the risen life of Jesus. Bring bells for the Gloria, flowers for the cross, and if you are able, plastic eggs with treasures for the kids! The choir will be singing and communion ringing!
