| Dear , |
choreography is amazing. We just returned from a conference with Rob
Bell and these Sundays in September we're studying his book. We didn't
plan it that way. Must be the Holy Spirit! May God grace you with that
same level of divine orchestration!
With much love,

A Book About Heaven, Hell,
and the Fate of Every Person Who Ever Lived
had a great group this past Sunday to launch off the study, and will be
continuing for each Sunday evening in September, as we take a look at a
grace-filled and (for some people) controversial book by Rob Bell
entitled "Love Wins". Terry and Bernice Lomheim will be facilitating a
discussion on this book from 6 to 8pm in the SHACK room.
Here is the description of the book from the Amazon review:
In Love Wins, bestselling author, international teacher, and speaker Rob Bell (Velvet Elvis, Drops Like Stars) addresses
one of the most controversial issues of faith-hell and the
afterlife-arguing, would a loving God send people to eternal torment
Rob Bell is an electrifying, unconventional pastor whom Time magazine calls "a singular rock star in the church world," with millions viewing his NOOMA videos.
searing insight, Bell puts hell on trial with a hopeful message-eternal
life doesn't start when we die; it starts right now. And
ultimately, Love Wins.

Walkabout with Bishop Diane
Several of us--along with two young people
from the Episcopal Urban Intern Program--joined Bishop Diane as we
looked at the neighborhoods around Emmanuel and brainstormed ideas for
the future. The bottom line was awesome program and ministries at
Emmanuel, but low visibility. We're launching signage revision and
increasing publicity to help people know we're here. Exciting potential!
