 Dear   ,

In the wake of Sunday's services and the celebration of all the saints, we are feeling particularly grateful for all of you and the beautiful ways in which you faithfully express the love of God in a world that often needs that love big time!

With gratitude for you,

Deanery Assembly - November 15

Here is some Deanery info I put together while wearing my Dean of Deanery IX hat. Anybody from our deanery can come, and for those who are delegates or alternatives to Diocesan Convention this is essential. Not only will there we convention information but also some exciting ministries that Deanery IX and X are accomplishing or considering. ~ Fr. Rob

St. Paul 2

The time is fast approaching for our Joint Deanery Assembly with Deanery X. It is especially important for delegates to Diocesan Convention to attend. We will discuss the budget, resolutions, and important procedures to know before attending convention.

This will also be a time to hear about some important ministries within our own deanery and some opportunities for joint adventures with Deanery X.

Bishop Diane has graciously offered to provide a luncheon for us after the Assembly as an opportunity to enjoy each other and hear from Sharon Ellis, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity OC. In order to know how much food to prepare, please RSVP to St. Paul's at St. Paul's

FOR DELEGATES: Our own Canon Janet Wylie (and Secretary of Convention) has put together some excellent materials for convention. Access this info at: Convention

Date: Saturday, November 15, 2014

Time: 9am until noon; Lunch noon - 1pm

Place: St. Paul's in Tustin

(1221 Wass Street)

Bearing Fruit in China

Daniel Daniel, a friend of Suzanne Kaisch, will be sharing about his adventures in China this Saturday at Emmanuel. For over twenty years he has worked in China sharing the gospel. What a great opportunity to get an inside look at life in China and how the good news is being shared! Daniel will speak for about 40 minutes and then give an opportunity for questions. Come and join us this Saturday, November 8 at 1pm in Havermale Hall!

  • FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES: Join us at Emmanuel's monthly 'night at the movies' on Friday, November 21, 6:30PM, for four-time Oscar winner "Friendly Persuasion"!  Set in 1862, the movie tells the story of a loving Quaker family, the Birdwells, dealing with the heart of family, faith and pacifism as the Civil War inches ever closer. It's warm, charming and beautifully made!  As always, admission is free, refreshments are available, and the company is wonderful!

  • CHRISTMAS CHOIR BEGINS NOVEMBER 23. Contact Georgia Atkins if you would like to sing in the choir. Her number is 562-889-1469 and her email is atkins.georgia@gmail.com

  • Learn the Walk to a deeper spirituality this Saturday from 11 to 1
