A Wonderful Time Was Had By All!
fifth Sunday BBQ was a great success! Besides ribs and sausages, there
was chicken, salmon, and hot dogs for the kids. Some of us grown-up kids
had hot dogs too! Chef Ernie also made what I dubbed "breakfast bombs".
They were hard boiled eggs wrapped in bacon and then crisped up on the
wood burning BBQ. Little round balls of wonder. They were all gone by
the time I made it to Edward's Hall but I understand they were to die
CEO Sharon Ellis, who attended services and the BBQ, was
delighted with our check for $5,000 for Habitat for Humanity. It will go
towards their program for home repairs and home upgrades for our
disabled veterans. She had attended the Garden Party Fundraiser that we
held and said it was by far the best fundraiser she had ever been to. We
should be very proud of that accolade. She really meant it!
