Do you realize that Emmanuel has sponsored 13 people for ordained ministry?! Pretty amazing. One of those Emmanuel grown clergy is Barrett Van Buren. I give thanks for his faithful following of the call of God in his life and for his ministry with us last week.

With love in Christ,
Fr. Rob+

  • Join us on Friday, July 22, at 6:30PM for "Born Yesterday", a thoughtful, warm appreciation of July 4th freedom and ideals. Oscar-winner Judy Holliday stars as Billie Dawn, a showgirl whose corrupt junkyard dealer boyfriend decides she needs more 'class'. In the process, she experiences an epiphany of knowledge and truth over ignorance and corruption that opens up a new independence of mind and personhood. The film neatly combines smart, funny dialogue and food for thought into a single entertaining package. Admission and refreshments are free as always, and the company is stellar!
  • Alleviate anxiety and find Peace and direction with a Focused Meditation Labyrinth Walk. Learn more about the Walk at http://www.fr-paul.org/.  The Walk will be held on the second Saturdays of the month from 11 AM to 12 starting August 13 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church 1145 West Valencia Mesa, Fullerton. Preregistration is required. Email paulnanita@sbcglobal.net   or call Fr. Paul Edwards 714 879 6436.
