Have you noticed what an amazing community we have here at Emmanuel? Right now I am grateful for the way people step up and fill the gap when they see a need. No arm twisting, no pleading, just many someones who say "I noticed we need ...(fill in the blank) would you like me to do that? " Would I?? Thank you to all of those someones!!!

With love in Jesus,
Mo. Lyn

Emmanuel News Bullets

Patty McDaneld is busy putting together another of our wonderful Emmanuel Annualish Picnics. It will be held on July 30th after a single service at 9:00 am. Patty needs lots of help if it is to be the success it has always been. She needs people to help with both adult and children's games, organizing decorations, coordinating the brownie cook-off, setting up and taking down, and a variety of other things. If everyone helps a little bit no one will be overwhelmed and everyone will have fun! Contact Patty at pamcdaneld@yahoo.com or on her cell
@ 714-296-1050.

Save the date! We begin the process of choosing a new rector for Emmanuel with Story Day on August 12th. We will gather to share our memories and the stories that have made Emmanuel what it is today. So be thinking of the stories that are important to you from the past. Each of us will have a chance to share, so it will be a time of laughter and maybe even a few tears. All of this will be led by Fr. Tom Discavage, who is really good at facilitating all of it. So save the date and start thinking of what story you are going to share!
