If you would like to help with relief for the victims of Hurricane Harvey please consider making a gift to Episcopal Relief & Development's Hurricane Harvey Response Fund. 84% of your donation goes directly to the relief work. The flooding from this hurricane is at historic proportions. Communities in Southeast Texas, Louisiana, and in other Gulf areas are in need of immediate and long term assistance. Be a Preschool Super Hero

Our preschool is transitioning to a new director.  Ms. Nancy is retiring to pursue her call as a hospital chaplain after 21 years at Emmanuel Preschool.  The preschool has been hit hard the last 3 years competing with the new state funded free transitional kindergartens, She has been working hard to grow the school again by adding social media, neighborhood marketing, extended hours and much more.   We have started to see the results nearly doubling our numbers at the beginning of this school year.  We are ready to bring on a new director (Ms. Lisa) but Nancy has taken a reduced salary in recent years so we must up our budget significantly.  We need support for a little while until the school gets completely up to speed with the new salary.  While the vestry (church board) has agreed to help to partially support the school this year, they can't help until Fr Rob retires.  We are asking  you to  help fill the gap.    We need $5000 .  The preschool brings the community to our campus and is a source of life and inspiration.  We are calling all preschool "Super Heroes" to help fund this outreach and this wonderful service to our community which began nearly 45 years ago!  Thank-you for your support.

You can contribute by writing a check to the church with "preschool" in the memo or by going to this Go Fund Me linkEmmanuel Preschool

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
and Seasons of the Spirit Resume this Sunday
  Good Shepherd
I give thanks for all of you who volunteered to help out this summer with Christian Education. Your faithful service and care is so much appreciated!

This Sunday we will return with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for children 3 to 9, and with Seasons of the Spirit for the older kids. We are so fortunate to have Ginger Cash and her assistants, as well as Jean Sigler and those who help her. What an amazing gift of love and dedication!

In these formative years it is so important for our children to have regular teaching and support for their growth in Christ--with values that will serve them for a lifetime!

Mo Lyn's Trip

Mo Lyn has been journeying through Switzerland, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, and Liechtenstein! Looks like she will have all sorts of good stories to tell when she returns for this Sunday's services!

PHOTO OF THE WEEK
It was an Amazing Morning!

16 participants and the job was done in under 2 hours. Thank you to each and every one of you for your participation. We were impressed at what a great job you all did. To have the entire vineyard grapes picked and everything cleaned up in under 2 hours was amazing.
The grapes are busy with the anaerobic fermentation process this week. Gordon's plan is to press the grapes on this Saturday at 9:00 - on our driveway, 1965 Celeste Lane, Fullerton.

Blessings, Lorra and Gordon
