Transformation Tools for Congregational Development

Transformation Is The Buzz Word For The Church Today
Yet There Is No Common Definition Of What It Means Or How It Is Done

The question raised, is transformation a solution or an answer?

In the past the church has been using its programs for the solution and transformation as the answer.  We have been trying to get people to become committed so they can become transformed, rather than having people become transformed so they can become committed.  It is a fact people will live at a higher intellectual, creative, and human potential level after they have been transformed than before.

Transformation is not a separate program.  For it to work, it must be an integral part of all programs.  It is the yeast in the loaf. It is the door knob on the door.  Stringing a door knob up without a door is useless.  Installing a door without a door knob is redundant. Both are needed.  Transformation integrated into a program will open a congregation up to development.

You can meet "The Rev" right here, and send him an E-Mail . There is also a link to learn how to walk "The Virtual Labyrinth"

First is Fr. Paul's BLOG. It is labeled as "An Episcopal Spiritual BLOG". Check here often for a varity of topics.

Second is "The Rev". The Rev is an Episcopal Cartoon with insight into life. The concept behind The Rev Cartoons is to provide entertainment and edification for the readers of Sunday Bulletins

Third is The Virtual Labyrinth. Would you like to have a labyrinth in your own back yard, perhaps even in your living room? Well, the good news is, you can have your own personal labyrinth for both private and community use. It is a “Virtual Labyrinth”.  Click the link below for more information.

The Fourth is kind of exciting. "The Rev" visits the Diocese of Florida to share his insights into the Episcopal Church and he gives us 10 reasons NOT to leave the Episcopal Church. This is a must read.

Fr. Paul Edwards, the creator of The Rev,  is an ordained Episcopal Priest and a licensed Marriage, Family Child Therapist. He is the Rector Emeritus at Emmanuel Church, Fullerton, Ca. Since his retirement he has been able to become involved in areas he did not have time to work in while serving as an active priest, such as cyberspace, education and writing. His book Spiritual Intelligence combines modern day psychology with biblical spirituality
