 Holy Week and Easter Celebrations

Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus

Holy Week is an amazing time to walk together with Jesus. Through the servanthood of Maundy Thursday, the passion of Good Friday, and the faithful patience of Holy Saturday, we emerge into the glory of the Resurrection in the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday celebrations.

Holy Week

Maundy Thursday: 7:30 pm

   Footwashing and Communion

Good Friday: 12-3 pm and 7:30 pm

   Interactive Stations of the Cross

Easter Vigil: Saturday at 7:30 pm

Candlelight Procession, Baptisms, Renewal & Communion

Easter Celebrations: Sunday at 8:15 am and 10:00 am

Choral Anthems, Flowering of the Cross, Communion

Bring bells for the Gloria, flowers for the cross, and (if you are able) a dozen plastic eggs with goodies inside for the Easter Egg Hunt after the 10 am service.

This original watercolor of Emmanuel by Kathy, which hangs in Havermale Hall, was selected by the ECVA (Episcopal Church Visual Arts) for their current exhibition entitled "Holy Women, Holy Men". ECVA was started in 2000 with this intention:

The mission of Episcopal Church and Visual Arts (ECVA) is to encourage artists and organizations to engage the visual arts in the spiritual life of the church. ECVA values the significance of visual imagery in spiritual formation and the development of faith, and encourages those who are engaged in using the visual arts in spiritual life.

A big thank you to the Altar Guild team who faithfully serves throughout the year and are especially busy in preparing for our Holy Week services. Here Patty McDaneld captured a festive moment at the recent Altar Guild Luncheon where palm crosses were made, communion celebrated, and a wonderful luncheon enjoyed. Special thanks to Jean Sigler who hosted us!
