Fr. Rob & Mo. Lyn
Movie Night at Emmanuel
Great movie planned for this Friday night at 6:30 PM in Havermall Hall! The classic "To Kill A Mockingbird" with Gregory Peck, adapted from the Pulizer Prize winning book by Harper Lee, will be shown. Y'all come!
Our pre-Lenten activity will be a traditional pancake
supper headed up by Chef Charlie and the band of EBNO volunteers. After
the supper we will have a Mardi Gras style musical procession out to
the garden to bury "Alleluia" which will remain hidden until we
celebrate the resurrection of Jesus at Easter. Come on out Tuesday at
6pm for food, fellowship, and great fun.
Services will include scripture and inspirational readings, imposition of ashes, and communion.
evening service will begin with a brief Taize service which will
include the Ash Wednesday readings, and then continue with imposition of
ashes and communion.
Wine and Cheese
and the Wind in the Trees
Emmanuel's Lenten program this year promises to be lively and
spirited. The focus of the program will be a deeper anointing of the
Holy Spirit. Each week's gathering will begin with a wine and cheese
tasting and will include a teaching by Fr. Rob and Mo. Lyn, a witness
from someone in our Emmanuel community, followed by some worship and
prayer. The topics for each of the weeks include, The Wind Blows Where
it Will, Fresh Air, Wind Wind Blow on Me, Deeper Currents, Wind Screens,
and Soaring on the Updraft. The classes will be held at 7:00 pm
on March 6, 13, 20, and 27th and April 3 and
10th. Mark your calendars now and plan on joining us!
