 Dear   ,
We've heard extraordinary God stories during our Lenten Series. Now we have the opportunity to go to a depth where we actually experience them! Come join us as we walk with Jesus through his servanthood, betrayal, and crucifixion to his glorious resurrection. Through the risen Christ living in each of you, there is the possibility of new blessings beyond what we could either ask or imagine!

 Holy Week at Emmanuel

                Holy Week

This past Sunday began our Holy Week remembrance as we journey with Jesus to the cross and beyond to the celebration of his resurrection! What an opportunity, in this the most significant week of the Christian year, to join with one another and with Jesus in this healing, redeeming, empowering journey!

Maundy Thursday       April 17        7:30pm

On this night we remember the Lord's last supper with his disciples in which he washed their feet and instituted the sacrament of communion.

Good Friday      April 18        12-3pm and 7:30pm

This year we will be commemorating the seven last words of Jesus. During our time of worship, Fr. Rob and Mo. Lyn will offer reflections and then we will view the artwork of seven different Emmanuelites who created an artistic expression of each Biblical passage. A deeply moving way to be with Jesus at the foot of the cross.

Easter Vigil      April 19         7:30pm

In this candlelight service we remember the promises of God, proclaim the resurrection of Jesus, witness the baptism of Kimberly, Katelyn, Kaylany and Katie, renew our own baptism and celebrate communion. A beautiful and moving service!

Easter             April 20          8:15 and 10am

We join the saints and angels in this glorious celebration of the risen life of Jesus. Bring bells for the Gloria, flowers for the cross, and if you are able, plastic eggs with treasures for the kids! The choir will be singing and communion ringing!

 Meeting with Bishop Mary

Mary Gray-ReevesWe have a wonderful opportunity to meet with Bishop Mary Gray-Reeves during May! Mary, who was a member of Emmanuel and sponsored by us for the priesthood, is now bishop of the Diocese of El Camino Real.

Mary has recently completed a book entitled "Unearthing My Religion - Real Talk about Real Faith" which is available online through Amazon and other bookstores. She will be talking about her book and the message of God's grace on Thursday, May 15, 7pm at Emmanuel.

I would encourage you to buy the book before her class and bring it for her to autograph. There will also be a limited number of books available that evening for purchase.

Come and meet one of our own, who has become one of the most significant bishops in the Episcopal Church!
