June 25, 2015
 Dear   ,
We've got another opportunity to share the secret of Emmanuel with those in our circle of friends and family. VBS is a great non-threatening and fun time for all ages. Check out all the classes and see if you might share a flyer with a friend!

With love in Christ,
Fr. Rob

VBS Fun for All Ages!
VBS Fire

VBS traditionally stands for Vacation Bible School, but in this case a better acronym might be ATT (Awesome Time Together) The fun, faith, and friendships that you will treasure forever will unfold during weekday evenings June 29 to July 3. We'll begin with a variety of tasty meals starting at 6pm and then break into classes for both kids and adults, beginning at 7pm. The theme is "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" and the adult classes will include subjects such as drumming, green living, astronomy, drought tolerant gardening, international cooking, Chinese brush painting, and swing dancing, as well as "Everything is Spiritual" with Rob Bell and Taize worship in the church; the kids will learn about God's creation, enjoy a variety of crafts, and have fun with music and movement.

We will be having a campfire on Friday night with songs around the fire and s'mores. If you would like to contribute marshmallows, chocolate, or graham crackers, give Nancy a call at the preschool: 714-738-1541.

Spread the word and get ready for a great week!

Please join us for movie night at

on Friday, June 26 at 6:30PM for the classic 1965 Beatles movie "Help!" The Fab Four deftly mix goofy comedy and sterling pop music while on the run when a sacred ruby ring comes into Ringo's possession, attracting the unwelcome attention of an exotic religious cult.

As always, admission and refreshments are free, and the company is awesome!
