Oh what a wonderful time we had at the Blessing of the Animals! The best one ever. These last several days have been mercifully cooler but don't get used to it! We will be back to the heat before the week is over. Stay cool and stay hydrated.

Blessings on your week!

Much love,

Mo. Lyn+

They Came!

Yes they did. We had a wonderful assortment of animals at the Blessing of the Animals last Saturday. For the first time we held it on the front lawn and with the help of our new Awareness ministry led by Lorra Dickinson and Bernice Lomheim, word got out to the community. And so we had three full grown horses, one miniature horse, two snakes, a rabbit, a cat and I believe I counted 37 dogs. Carolyn Cardamis provided music and Gene Cantwell was on hand to capture the events on film. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success. Each animal received a St. Francis medal and their owners a prayer card. It was delightful. Here are a few of the pictures that Gene took.

There were horses!

And snakes!

Million Meals Ingathering October 18th

Don't forget to bring your coins and checks in for the Million Meals Ingathering on October 18th. New containers will be available that day. The money gathered in goes to provide food for an assortment of non-profit agencies in the area who provide meals for the poor and the homeless. The sign in the picture below, which hangs in the sanctuary, shows how many meals Emmanuel has provided to date. Questions? See Kathy Palmer.
