What a wonderful Emmanuel Annual Celebration this past Sunday! It made us even more grateful for all the ministry that the Holy Spirit accomplished through our community in 2015. The work of Emmanuel at Emmanuel is amazing. We truly have been blessed to be a blessing.

With love in Christ,
Fr. Rob+ and Mo. Lyn+

  • Pruning Possibilities
Thank you to those who came to prune the grape vines on Saturday. We still have 2 rows of vine to prune, so please come out this Saturday. We also need to prune the roses (yes, I actually mean roses this time). There is also work to do in the garden proper that we could use help with. If you missed seeing Audrey you should come see her on Saturday. This is a grape vine that was planted in February of last year as a bare root plant - a stick 1-2 feet high. Now she is a multi stemmed vine with one branch being about 40 feet long. We named her Audrey after the plant in the musical "Little Shop of Horrors." Come out early on Saturday, we start at 9:00.

  • Friday Night at the Movies
Here's a great way to start the new year! Join us on Friday, January 22, at 6:30PM, for the 1938 classic "The Adventures of Robin Hood". Sumptuous and highly energetic, this 3-time Oscar winner is grand, cinematic pageantry at its Technicolor best. It's the archetypal Hollywood swashbuckler: rousing, lighthearted, witty, romantic, colorful, moralistic, and richly satisfying. Hollywood legends Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland, Basil Rathbone, Claude Rains and a host of other fine actors bring the classic story of love and bravery to life against a rollicking, uplifting musical score. As always, admission and refreshments are free, and the company is stellar!

Photo of the Week

In case you didn't get a chance to see her, this is a photo of the vine that Lorra has nicknamed "Audrey" after the Little House of Horrors plant. This grape vine grew from four inches to over forty feet in the past year! Now that's a mighty strong vine!
