Trinity Sunday is coming and Mo Lyn will be preaching her last sermon until the fall! Come and hear what she has to say about the Trinity!

With love in Christ,
Fr. Rob+

How Do You Worship the Trinity?

Have you ever noticed that some people pray to God the Father, some to Jesus, and every once in a while someone will pray to the Holy Spirit? Ever wonder why that is? Well it just might have something to do with personality type. Want to find out more? Come Sunday and find out! ~ Mo. Lyn

  • A Few Words from Your Treasurer
Through the end of April, our Income (Operating Fund) is up about $7,000 over last year and on a year-to-date basis our deficit is about $4,500 less than it was at the same point last year.  However, that Income (Operating Fund) has been less than what we budgeted, and Expenses for that same period are about 6% over budget.  As of the end of April our Operating Fund deficit is -$16,792.06.

Giving to General Outreach and Million Meals has been less than anticipated, and we had to spend around $11,000 from the Capital Fund to replace both Heating and A/C units on the Good Shepard building in March.
The summer season is always a challenging time for Emmanuel financially.  Attendance is lower because people are on vacation and giving tends to go down, but our expenses actually go up, primarily electricity and water.
Please join me in praying that God's abundance will be poured out on all of us and that Emmanuel's financial needs will be met.

Dave Dunlap, Treasurer

  • Million Meals Ingathering
Bring your buckets of coins, checks, and any other kind of contribution on May 29th at 9am. Each dollar provides four meals for those in need through the Orange County and LA County Food Banks. Our goal is to reach the 10 Million Meals Mark! (If you write a check, make it out to "Emmanuel" with "Million Meals" in the memo.)
  • Are you interested in being a LEV
I want to invite any of you that are interested in joining the Lay Eucharist Visitor ministry.  In the last year, I have been blessed to be with many that are unable to attend church (due to being shut in or ill), by sitting with them, sharing stories and most of all sharing Eucharist.
Many times I go thinking I may not know what to say or do with the person I am visiting, but the Holy Spirit always arrives just at the right moment.  I leave each time thinking what a blessing to sit, listen and be with those that can't attend church with us.  It's an intimate time, a gift, a double blessing for each person, you and them.
If you are interested in being a LEV or would like to know more information, please contact me:, 714-446-9670. We will be having a class in the near future.
    Thank you, Jen Wagner

These People Had a H.E.A.R.T.!
(Homeless Engagement Awareness Response Team)

We had a great turn out for Bella's Girl Scout project to raise awareness and support for the homeless in our area. We made 50 bags which Fullerton police will put in their cars and give to people on the street who could use various hygiene products. Thank you Bella for helping us help others!
