We've got a new surprise for the Fifth Sunday Worship and Picnic extravaganza! Thanks to Dan Cash who witnessed some Samoan youth dancers in his neighborhood, I was able to talk with their youth leader from a Samoan Christian Church and arrange for them to share their dance and explain this form of praise to God during the service on July 31st! This will be a "Bring a Friend" Sunday, so I encourage you to think of who might enjoy a spiritual and sensory feast and invite them to come!

With love in Christ,
Fr. Rob+
Emmanuel Annualish Picnic!!!

Here is some advance publicity compliments of the Edmond bros for our upcoming Single Service and Picnic Extravaganza. We'll have a single service on July 31 at 9am (where BTW Jen Wagner will be giving her witness!) and then off to Ralph B. Clark Park where we will enjoy some awesome entertainment, delicious food, chocolate chip cookies contest, and maybe even a little water fun. :) Bring a friend! It will be a great opportunity to enjoy the Emmanuel community in all its glory!

Thank you to all who came out and helped with the netting of the grape vines on Friday and Saturday - the vines look like they are wearing old fashioned hair nets. It is amazing how when you have enough help things work out so well and so quickly. Gordon was particularly thankful for the Edmond boys. He marveled at how easily they sat cross legged on the ground and pounded in the 6" staples to hold the net to the ground. We appreciate how you all have helped in supporting the Garden.

Photo of the Week

Celtic Cross
Mo Lyn was able to spend a week at Iona, a spiritual haven off the west coast of Scotland, as part of her sabbatical journey. While she was there she took this photo of a celtic cross (which was first made on Iona) with the abbey in the background. It has been a beautiful and spiritually nourishing time so far. Let's keep praying for the rest of her time away!
