I had pretty high expectations, but Sunday's worship and picnic celebration surpassed them all. In this issue of the blurb we celebrate some beautiful ways in which Emmanuel is Emmanuel.

Emmanuel Annualish Picnic!!!
A Huge Success!

What a fun time! After Jen shared so powerfully and the Samoans danced so beautifully at the service we were able to all get together for a wondrous feast at Ralph B. Clark Park. I'm so glad our Island brothers and sisters in Christ were able to share this BBQ with us. We are definitely kindred souls! Pastor Time (Teemay) told me that they believe in living out the good news of God's love and grace (and they do it so well!) I'm sure we'll get together again!

Special thanks to Patty and Jeff McDaneld for coordinating the event, to Ernie Moran for his culinary skills, for the Edmond family in organizing the Chocolate Chip Cookie Contest, for the set-up and take-down people, and for all of you who brought food, drinks, and your marvelous presence!

Congratulations to Pam Notti, Dick & Sally Adamson, and Kathy Peters as winners of the cookie contest! May you spin your spatulas proudly.

I feel like it was one of our best picnics ever, and I am still wearing this silly and grateful grin.

  • A Special Focused Mediation Labyrinth Walk relieves stress and anxiety.   It brings Peace and direction into ones' life.   The Walk will be held at Emmanuel on Saturdays from 11-12.     The Focused walk into the center is to think of major issues facing ones' life.   In the center will be a shortened form of the Eucharist.   Coming out the meditation is on how consciously experiencing the Peace of God brings new insights that can only come from the experience of grace within.   Issues are not shared because the healing is in the walk.   Reservations are required.   Call Fr. Paul 714 879 6436 or email
