Angel Fund
for Emmanuel Preschool

Our preschool has been serving children and families since 1973 and our equipment is in need of repair and replacement. This fund will help us to replace storage cabinets, room dividers, small furniture pieces and will help us equip our new toddler room.

If anybody would like to volunteer to help paint boards for the dividers in the preschool this Saturday, please call Doug Shively at 714-588-4123. Thanks!

    • NEW COURSE! -  Emmanuel Unplugged: Unamplified Sound Bites about the Difference that Makes a Difference
  • Why does the Episcopal Church in general and Emmanuel in particular seem different from other churches? 9 million meals, 13 sponsored clergy, and 500 pounds of grapes later Emmanuel (despite the size) is rocking our world. Come find out the behind the scene secrets that have made a difference. Everything you wanted to know about the church but were afraid to ask. This six week course starts on Thursday, September 15 at 7pm in the SHACK room. Highly recommended for those who are curious and a necessity for those who would like to be confirmed when Bishop Bruno comes on October 30th. Talk to Fr. Rob or Mo. Lyn for more information.
  • In honor of the 2016 Summer Olympics, Emmanuel's Friday night at the movie presents "Chariots of Fire"! Please join us on Friday, August 26, at 6:30PM for this 4-time Academy Award winner (Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Musical Score, Best Costume Design). It's the true story of Harold Abrahams (a Jewish university student) and Eric Liddell (a Christian Scottish missionary), two outsiders who fight religious discrimination and the British class system while training to run in the 1924 Games. But as compelling as the racing scenes are, it's really the depth of the two main characters that touches the viewer, as they forcefully drive home the theme that victory attained through devotion, commitment, integrity, and sacrifice is the most admirable feat that one can achieve. As always, admission and snacks are free, and the company is stellar!

  • A Special Focused Mediation Labyrinth Walk relieves stress and anxiety.   It brings Peace and direction into ones' life.   The Walk will be held at Emmanuel on Saturdays from 11-12.     The Focused walk into the center is to think of major issues facing ones' life.   In the center will be a shortened form of the Eucharist.   Coming out the meditation is on how consciously experiencing the Peace of God brings new insights that can only come from the experience of grace within.   Issues are not shared because the healing is in the walk.   Reservations are required.   Call Fr. Paul 714 879 6436 or email

Angel in the Tomato
When Lisa Tice sliced open a tomato from the Emmanuel garden, her sister exclaimed "There's an angel inside!" Proof positive that the old saying "God is in the garden" must be true.
