While I was away this weekend working on the Men's Cursillo weekend,  the Rev. Kathy MacKenzie took both services on Sunday. We are so blessed to have Kathy and her husband Rob as a part of our community. They are such wonderful people. Thanks be to God for her willingness to fill in for me. I couldn't have done it without her! And speaking of Men's Cursillo, don't forget to greet Emmanuel's newest Cursillistas, Andrew, Jacob, and Joe Edmonds. I was so delighted to share in their Cursillo weekend along with Fr. Rob and
Rev. Karen Maurer. And guess what? God showed up! It was one of the most powerful weekends I have ever worked!

With much gratitude,

Mo. Lyn+

Annual Women's Lenten Retreat Day

Wisdom of the Ancient Celts
Saturday March 17th 8:30 am - 1:30 pm

Please join the Rt. Rev. Diane Jardine Bruce and the women of Deaeries 9 & 10 for their annual Lenten retreat to be held at

St Paul's Episcopal Church, 1221 Wass Street, Tustin.

The retreat leader, Dr. Rebecca Prichard has taught theology, worship, and spirituality in a variety of congregational and academic settings. Rebecca has served as a Presbyterian minister for nearly thirty years and is now a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Tustin.

The retreat will explore the wisdom of the ancient Celts and of Celtic Christians in Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. Workshops include one on Celtic Art including copying and coloring some Celtic designs, which can become a way of praying for us, as it was for the Celts. The other workshops are Celtic Spiritual Practice which invites us to see the light of the Holy in all things and includes a walking meditation, and A Celtic Way of Praying which will include writing and sharing our own prayers. What a wonderful way to spend the morning of St Patrick's Day!

Registration is due on or before March 10. The cost is $25.00 and includes lunch and art supplies. Childcare will be available for children ages 5 and under. Registration forms are on the counter in Havermale Hall.

Another of our gifted musicians is Ginger Cash, who, when she isn't busy as a catechist in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, plays beautiful music on flute for us. I was especially grateful that she was present for the memorial services honoring Yvonne Conklin and Joanie Schmid. Be sure to let Ginger know how much you appreciate her gift of music to our community!
