March 28, 2018

This Sunday our Holy Week liturgies began with the Blessing of the Palms and the Palm Sunday Procession. We waved our red pennants and sang our Hosannas as we processed around the church property and back into the sanctuary. Then it was time to hear the words of the prophet Isaiah and St. Paul followed by St. Mark's powerful version of the Passion Gospel, read by a number of parishioners scattered throughout the church. We reflected on the kind of life Jesus came to introduce and the resistance his people had to it. Servant ministry? Self-emptying love? Turn the other cheek? Forgiveness? This is the lifestyle that Jesus taught. This is the way of living that leads to transformation and peace. And in the end, we celebrated that Jesus was right after does triumph, even over death. Light triumphs over darkness. In the end,   Love Wins!!!!

In that love,

Mo. Lyn+
