We Are Starting Tai Chi Classes in the Garden!
A little about the instructor:
One day in the spring of 2017 Ed Chu was
seen wandering around our garden (he lives in our neighborhood). Since
then he has joined our Wine Guild, participated in numerous vineyard
work days and has a garden plot where he is currently growing corn. We
are delighted that Ed has graciously agreed to offer Tai Chi classes for
us in the garden under the pergola.
Ed was born in 1949 in Taiwan. He was
trained as an engineer and worked in the oil industry until retirement.
He has been an avid Tai Chi practitioner for 40 years and has been
teaching for 30 years.
Ed's Tai Chi study came from a long lineage
of distinguished Tai Chi teachers traceable to the roots of the great
grand master Yang Cheng-fu. He began his studies of the Yang style of
Tai Chi in the late 1970s with Master Wu in Toronto, Canada. He started
teaching 10 years later in Calgary, Canada. He has also taught in Corpus
Christi, Texas, Rome, Italy. and Fullerton including the Fullerton
Chinese School as well as the Fullerton YMCA,
We are delighted and blessed to have him as
neighbor, garden supporter, and now as our Tai Chi teacher
